My name is Joy. I am the event planner and producer of The Wedding and Wine Expo. For years, I would go to bridal shows and expos and would think to myself, “Something is missing.” I am an entertainer at heart! I live, eat, sleep, and breathe events, and all of my clients will agree that I go all out when I plan something.
So, The Wedding and Wine Expo had been lingering in my mind since 2017 so much that I would dream of this event even before having it. I know this sounds crazy, but my mind wouldn’t let me move forward unless I did something about it.
In 2018, I decided that if I was going to do this, I had to do the necessary research and work to make sure my vision for this expo became a reality. At the beginning of December in 2018, my team and I brainstormed ideas and put together a strategic marketing plan. We implemented it, and it worked!
Last year, I put this mere thought into action and received an overwhelming response of vendors who were interested. All vendor booths were sold out within months of the expo! That was an amazing feeling.
"All vendor booths were sold out within months of the expo!"
But before that feeling was even possible, there were times that I would question this idea and think to myself, “But what if this doesn’t work? Who would attend? Who would actually invest?”
What kept me focused is reminding myself who doesn’t want free wine? Cocktails? Food and cake samples? A free day-of coordinator for their wedding? Free tuxedo rental? Thousands of dollars in vendor giveaways? An amazing couture bridal fashion show? And all while shopping for their big day!
The answer is everyone can enjoy a productive environment like that. Although this expo specifically targets brides-to-be, we also encourage people looking to renew their vows and people who love entertainment and meeting vendors for future events to come.
Everyone who attended the expo last year loved it, and there was no negative feedback. If you don’t believe me, ask one of our vendors from last year!
